Atelier Thomas Schittek . Exposition Batalha 2014, fotos by Uli Schmidt, Germany

The life of Thomas Schittek, German painter for many years seduced by the brightness of Portugal, he is  announced through a daily  discourse, shown  on canvas, paper or tile in picturesque simple language dominated by naturalistic elements, in which incandescent colors and shapes are dominant notes of a laudatory tale to life.

In fact, in his painting he  emerges, juvenile, a smiling man, fascinated by  simple, innocent, beautiful things, that life offers and we can see through Thomas.

Meanwhile,  there is a harmonic serene consistency present.

Thomas is a  methodically disciplined artist who records his daily life   turned into books that outline creative genius, always smiling, perpetuate.

In each work, Thomas sings this fullness, extolling the transience of a moment the illusion of eternal things. Thus, each work is an  achievement in acts of potential values that animate it.

It  is  the image of "Carpe Diem" Horatian, a symbol of existential enjoyment, repeated in its  essence a path , whose testimony, magic the of beauty, resumes with renewed joy, diligent in the sketch done by the artist.
